We had the privilege of shooting at Tanganyika for the first time with the awesome couple Jason and Taylor Miler last month. From the first consultation meeting, I knew this was going to be a fun wedding! I really don’t know who made me laugh more there, Jason or Taylor.
The wildlife park had a lovely event planner named Holly (I liked to call her Helpful Holly) that assisted throughout the entire day and chaperoned as we visited and took pictures with the animals. The giraffe was pretty amazing to see so up close but I think the baby penguin was Taylor’s favorite part as that is her favorite animal. We even noted that Taylor’s wedding dress resembled that of a penguin with the black underlay and beaded accents- how neat!
Their hand written vows were another favorite part of mine. One of my favorite lines that made me smile was when Taylor said, “I don’t remember the exact moment I fell in love with you but I do remember one day thinking to myself ‘Holy Crap. I love this man’.”
All in all, it was a great experience doing a wedding at Tanganyika! Thanks for letting us be a part of your day, Jason and Taylor!
Taylor’s mother made these clever elephant’s that served as sign holders! She bought rubber animals, spray painted them sliver, drilled a hole and stuck the metal holders in top! Brilliant!
First look!
Notice her nails!
Note the penguin on Taylor’s dress!
Cutest forks I’ve ever seen
Love this idea for guests to do!
Last shot of the evening! (Taken right outside the Tanganyika property)
