Say hello to the adorable Stephanie and Bob! I just realized as I am posting this that I have had two “Stephanie and Bob”s get married this year– what is the coincidence in that?! So to set the record straight, meet Stephanie and Bob Harding!
The day started at St. Elizabeth with a Catholic ceremony, which was beautiful. Then for the reception, we hopped over to the Kansas Aviation Museum. And can we talk about the museum for a second? I am slightly embarrassed to say that before this wedding, I had never been there. I am telling you it’s something to put on your Wichita bucket list! There are planes outside, airplanes inside, historical pieces, and the coolest part if you’re a parent, is the GIANT kids rooms! These rooms had play airplanes, multiple computers with simulators, a really cool fort, and even over-sized blocks to play with! I am just saying, I’m going to be taking a family trip there soon.
So I knew that Stephanie and Bob love to travel. They both work at Wesley hospital and I’d say they have a work hard, play hard philosophy, as they like to work a lot and then take a lot of vacations throughout the year traveling all over the world. So when they told me their wedding would be travel themed I was excited for something different, but let me just say, I had NO idea just how EPIC it would actually be. And it was evident that a lot of people went to a ton of work to pull this thing off. From the amazing creative travel decor at their reception to the personalized welcome boxes for their out-of-town guests to the couple’s coordinated first dance, I was blown away.
A few other highlights from their wedding included the DJ (of Black Tie Celebrations) giving a hilarious airplane-styled intro for the grand entrance, the sweet German toast tradition, and the surprise video that Stephanie’s aunts and cousins from Germany made, that included their grandparents who couldn’t make it down.
Oh my word, I could just go on and on about this wedding! But I will let the pictures speak for themselves. Enjoy!
