A send off is such a fun way to celebrate your official titles of husband and wife! I get asked all the time for send off ideas from my couples as well as potential couples. I am here to help!

6 Easy Send Off Ideas
1. Bubble Send Off
A classic, go to! These are a great option, really any time of day. Pro tip: grab a bunch of little bubble wands for the majority of guests + a few bubble guns for a few bridal party members to hold, in order to maximize that bubble tunnel!
2. Ribbon Wands or Hand Streamer Send Off
These are both fun, mess-free options with a similar look! The hand streamers go on your finger first, then allow you to throw the long ribbons at the couple, with them still connected to your hand. The couple might get a little tangled but that makes for an even more fun experience!
The white ribbon wands can either be bought or a fun DIY project for you and your bridal party. There are simple ribbon wands, and also light up ribbon wands for a nighttime send off.

3. Confetti Popper Send Off
An explosion of joy! This can be done in white or color. Just keep in mind, they will be a lot for someone to clean up. Make sure they are allowed at your venue before buying.
4. Sparklers or Cold Sparks
Sparklers are a classic nighttime send off! These are a blast but make sure you have all your precautions ready, with a bucket of water and a fire extinguisher just in case. You can find them online through sparkler companies. Make sure to get the long ones so they don’t burn out before you get to the end.
Another popular option now are cold sparks! Usually DJ’s provide these as an add on option. You can safely waive your hand through the cold sparks, and can do several run throughs with them if you’d like. The couple pictured above on the right combined the cold sparks with light up wands for their guests to hold. They also doubled as a party favor for kids!
5. Dried Flower Send Off
Dried flowers are an ecofriendly option for a pop of color without any clean up! Another fun DIY project or you purchase them online.

Make it personal! One past groom of mine was in the Air Force, they had all their guests wave little American Flags during their send off! This was such a unique way to stay on theme and celebrate the couple unique to who they are.

If you are fortunate enough to have a grandpa or other family member who own a cool car, ask to borrow it! Let them know you don’t necessarily have to drive it out of the parking lot– you can make a loop, then come right back just for photos.
Even if you don’t have a “cool car,” you can still definitely hop into your own vehicle to drive away in!
What if we have limited time with our photographer?
1. Have the send off right after the Ceremony
A great way to still capture a send off if you didn’t book your photographer for a lot of time is to do your send off right after the ceremony. This works really well outside of churches, and can also work during your recessional.
2. Have a “Mock Send Off”
Your DJ and photographer will make sure your guests know that this is a fun faux send off, and the party WILL go on afterward if you are not truly ending the night! People do this all the time. It’s YOUR wedding, and you can do things however you like.
