Well, I have to admit this is a little weird posting pictures of myself but I wanted to give you all a peak at my own maternity session and experience!
Ever since we found out we were pregnant, I started planning my maternity session. I didn’t get the chance to do anything like this with Matthew, so I was full of ideas now. My mom took the pictures for us and was awesome for putting up with the muggy gross weather we got on Sunday.
You would have thought that I would know exactly how it would go down since I shoot maternity pictures all the time. But let me tell you, it’s a lot different being on the other side! I was finding myself saying the same things that I often hear, like “Oh my gosh my butt looks huge,” and wanting to see all the pictures along the way lol. My mom also pointed out the fact that normally I would have NEVER gone out in a public place in very little clothes with my underwear showing, but somehow in maternity mode, I was completely fine with it lol. Who knew?!
My husband and son met up with us about halfway through the session for the family part, and Matthew was an absolute angel! Earlier that week, I was worrying that he wouldn’t want to do the poses, so I pulled up Pinterest and let him pick which poses he wanted to do. That really worked. Right when they got there, Matthew told daddy, “No, no. You go stand over there while mommy and I do our part first.” Lol. It was great. I made sure we did their shots as quickly as possible, so literally the family part was 20 minutes. And we were done! Even though they are my own photos, I have to say I love the outcome; my mom got exactly what I was hoping for!
So, upon reflecting my own session, tips I would give other momma’s about to do a maternity session would be:
Beautiful!!! So excited for you, Cynthia!!
These are so Wonderful you truly are blessed.
